Greg X. Volz' final studio collaboration with Petra, *Beat The System* was a highly experimental move for the band, featuring more synthesizers and sequenced drums. It also featured a "modernized" remake of "God Gave Rock And Roll To You", an earlier version of which appeared originally on 1977's *Come And Join Us*.
